Stephen Curry Wins MVP

Without a doubt basketball fans you knew this was going to happen. It was a well deserved award, and nobody was on this guys level. The guy I'am talking about is Stephen Curry. Curry is the NBA's Kia Most Valuable Player. He lead players in the race like James Harden who was trying to cook his way into the race, but we know Curry is the real chef. He also lead Ohio's king LeBron James, who is a four time MVP. This is Curry's first time ever winning the MVP, and he did it at the age of 27. If you did not think he deserved the award then you are just a ignorant fan of some other player. Curry deserved the award, and so did the NBA since they are giving it to him. YouTube Stephen Curry 2015 top plays. There is the proof that he deserved the award. Curry has set a single record for three-pointers made and led the league's best regular season team in scoring, assists, and steals. Curry is the second Warriors player to win the award, joining Wilt Chamberlain, who was honored in 1959-60 when the franchise played in Philadelphia. ------- Curry totaled 1,198 points, including 100 of 130 first-place votes, from a panel of 129 sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada, as well as the Kia MVP fan vote on NBA.com. Players were awarded 10 points for each first-place votes, seven points for each second-place votes, five points for each third-place votes, three points for each fourth-place votes and one point for each fifth-place votes. Houston Rockets, James Harden had 936 points and 25 first-place votes. Cleveland Cavaliers, LeBron James had 522 points and five first-place votes. Oklahoma's Russell Westbrook had 352 points and New Orleans Pelicans Anthony Davis had 203 votes with no first-place votes. ------- Curry helped the Warriors set a franchise record of 67 wins out 82 in the regular season. Curry had made SportsCenter highlights a lot this year. Curry had a voice and he let it be heard this year. He was yelling out, "Yeah! LeBron went back home. But I'am MVP this year. Harden may stir up the pot, but Im the real Chef Curry." Curry averaged 23.8 points (sixth in the NBA), 7.7 assists (sixth), a career-high 2.04 steals (fourth) and 4.3 rebounds. Also, Curry has made 286 three-pointers in one season, breaking his own NBA record of 272 set in 2012-13. He shot 48.7 percent from the field and ranked fourth in the league in three-point field goal percentage of 44.3. Curry also led the NBA in free throw percentage 91.4, converting a career high 52 consecutive free throws from March 9 to April 4. With Curry leading the way, Golden State became the 10th team in NBA history to win at least 67 games in a season. The Warriors scored 920 more points than they allowed with Curry on the court, the highest plus/minus for any player this season and an average of 11.5 points in his 80 appearances. ------- The 2014-15 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Award is part of the Kia NBA Performance Awards, a series of on-court performances awards. The series, in its eighth season, is part of a multiyear marketing partnership between KM A and the NBA, and includes five year of the league's most prestigious year end honors: Kia Most Valuable Player, Kia Defensive Player of the Year, Kia Sixth Man of the Year Award, Kia Most Improved Player and Rookie of the Year. The series also includes the Kia NBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Month and the Kia NBA Eastern and Western Conference Rookies of the Month during the regular season. Kia Motors is the Official Automotive Partner of the NBA, and the Kia Optima is the league's Official Vehicle. ------ Stephen Curry deserved this award without a doubt. LeBron even said it was "well deserved" and joked around saying another kid from Ohio. LeBron has a lot of respect for players. He is not going to talk bad about any player. Kobe Bryant on the other hand will. Kobe said his MVP choice would be James Harden. I kind of understand where he is coming from knowing that Kobe was once teammates with Dwight Howard. Harden had to carry the rockets on his back to get to where they are now and which is in the second round facing the Clippers. Stephen Curry did a lot to set a team record, especially with a rookie coach. Curry has a "Splash brother" Klay Thompson, and that is what sets them two aside. Klay can hit threes just like Curry could. But look at it this way, Warriors are a built team, not a bought team. Klay may have had a contract extension for 90 million, but it was well deserved just like Curry's MVP.

Rondo and the Mavericks

Rajon Rondo. One of the best point guards before the Chris Paul's, Stephen Curry's and Kyrie Irving talks. Rondo is one of the best passers in the Game today. He is a better passer than Chris Paul without a doubt. Chris Paul may have the assist commercials with State Farm, but that is because Paul sees more minutes on the court than Rondo. Why is Rondo not seeing minutes that he should see? Probably because he plays for a owner who is such a loud mouth crybaby, and a coach that just needs to lose his job already. Rondo and Rick Carlisle from the start never liked each other and you were able to see that. Dallas made the wrong decision to keep their head coach instead of one of NBA's best point guards. Yes, I said Rondo is one of the NBA's best point guards. Rondo may not be a scorer, probably what Dallas wanted. He is a pass first type of point guard. He is the last of a dying breed. Most point guards what to shoot the ball more than pass. I'm not saying it is a bad thing, it is just the game of basketball evolved a lot more compared to days like in the 80's. ------- Rondo's time with the Mavericks ended before Mavericks post season ended thanks to the Houston Rockets. After a disastrous 36 second stint to start the second half of Game 2, where Rondo picked up two personal fouls and a technical is an immature display that had many feeling like he quit on his team, he was benched by his head coach, never to return to the Dallas lineup. The team said a back injury was to blame, and that it would sideline Rondo indefinitely. Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle later said he didn't expect Rondo to even wear a Mavericks uniform again, and now we know the reason why. ------- "Rondo never really fit with the Mavs, as the concerns about the impact of his poor shooting in coach Rick Carlisle’s flow offense quickly manifested and were never solved. The hope of a “Playoff Rondo” sighting was crushed after his poor Game 1 performance and the appearance he gave up in Game 2.The Mavs and Rondo made a mutual decision to part ways the next day, sources told ESPNDallas.com, framing the reasoning as a back injury as a favor to try to help the four-time All-Star point guard save face. The truth was that the Mavs didn’t want Rondo, who was going to be replaced in the starting lineup regardless, pouting and rubbing off on other players, Ellis in particular. Essentially, the Mavs made a drastic move in an attempt to do damage control on a chemistry crisis," said Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas. ------- All of these bad remarks and comments about Rondo is sickening. Instead of blaming Rondo, blame the coach. I would. He is no angel. He has not won a Championship since 2011, that is 4 years. Fire him. He has not made it to the Finals in four years, Fire him! He is the reason why Dallas is not winning in my book. Dallas is just a bad place to play, and a bad place to be in I think. Ellis is not going to stay now that they did not advance in the Playoffs. A look at it! Dallas is a stacked team. We are talking about Dirk, Ellis, Amar'e, Chandler, Parsons, Harris, Felton, and Jefferson. That is a stacked team! They had a lot of point guards anyways. Dallas is making a big deal about Rondo for what reason? They are the ones talking crap about him now. That is just childish. The whole city of Dallas and the team just need to grow up and quit acting butt hurt about Rondo. It is like if they wanted to keep him anyways. If they did, they would of chose him over the coach in heart beat. I mean look at it this way, other teams are firing their head coaches. Take the Thunder for example, their coach gave them 7 great seasons. Dallas should of thought about firing their head coach. That is just my opinion. I just do not like the guy and the way Dallas is being butt hurt about Rondo. It is very childish.

Kevin Love Out For Post Season

Well, it is official. Kevin Love is out for the rest of the post season. He is out due to the shoulder injury he suffered from Game 4 against the Boston Celtics. People are already saying Game 4 was Love's last game in a Cavalier jersey. Do not know how true that is, but it is going around on social media. Love has not released a statement about it yet. They are saying Love is going to join the Los Angeles Lakers because Love will return home because he played for UCLA. They also said he will go to Los Angeles because it is a way better place than Cleveland, and Love will get the ball more. Are these typical Laker fans just saying a bunch of nonsense? Sure does kind of seem like it. But, I could be wrong. James and Love's relationship as teammates is edgy. I can see that being a reason why Love will leave Cleveland, but the rest of the rumors is plan up stupid probably coming from Laker fans. Guess we will have to wait and see, or later on see if the rumors are true.

Kevin Love Expected To Miss 2 Weeks

Yesterday, April 26, 2015, The Cleveland Cavaliers swept the Boston Celtics 4-0. It was a pretty dirty gameplay from both teams. Love left last nights game due to a shoulder injury. The play looked dirty by Kelly Olynyk, and Kevin Love thought without a doubt he did it on purpose. The video of Love and Olynyk going for the lose ball, you can tell Olynyk yanked down on Love's arm. Love said he felt fine afterwards, but he is expected to miss 2 weeks. The best thing that can happen is a long term Bulls and Bucks series, which is doubtful. The Bulls lead the series 3-1. This was the same game that J.R Smith punched Jae Crowder. Crowder had a knee injury when Smith like backhanded him. You can see in the video it was an awkward landing, but Crowder sold it off I think. Crowder probably just was embarrassed that Smith practically knocked him out. The series is over, Boston goes fishing and Cleveland advances. It was a well fought, but dirty Game 4 between the two teams. The Cavaliers will face the winner of the Bulls and Bucks series and Kevin Love might be healed in time before the series. Or maybe not. Time will only tell.

Warriors 3-0 From A 20 Point Come Back

"I been Steph Curry with the shot, been cookin' with the sauce, chef, curry with the pot, boy!" - Drake That is what every Warrior fan is singing after Curry hit the game tying three to send the Warriors and Pelicans in overtime in Game 3. Stephen Curry is the definition of clutch! Drake knows what type of player he is talking about. He might not have meant the current Curry, but he still mentioned Curry in a song. From being down by 20 in the start of the fourth quarter to winning by 4 points. The final score was 123-119. Stephen "Chef" Curry had 40 points and 9 assists! Can you say MVP?! Curry missed the first game tying three, but Green grabbed the rebound and brought it out to Curry for the three. Curry hit the three over three Pelican defenders. Kind of ironic right? That game tying three should have been an and-1 though. Curry was clearly knocked from underneath, and last I checked that is a foul in the NBA. ---- Game four will be in New Orleans in the Smoothie King Arena on Saturday, April 25. If The Warriors take this game it will be a sweep (Just letting people who don't really understand.) If you don't know what a sweep is, it is when a team wins four games in a row, and the opposing team does not win one game at all, the team 4-0 advances to the next round. It is best out of 7 games though. No team has came back from 0-3 the NBA says, but I guess they do not remember the 2006 Miami Heat team. They were down 0-3 in the Final series against Dallas, and Wade just took command. That was the year people said Wade was in his prime. In the Playoffs anything can happen, but people do not expect the unexpected most of the time. Can the Pelicans make a come back or at least win one game? Who knows? Curry showed the world what he can do, and he is not afraid to take the most pressured shots at anytime. Playoffs are a big stage, and he's putting on a show for everyone.

Game 3 Celtics Versus Cavaliers

Today April 23, 2015, is the continuation of the series between the Cavaliers and Celtics. During the Cavaliers practice James talked about the Celtic fans not liking him. Who would not blame them? I'm not putting that in a negative way. It is just that James has always had some great rival games when the Celtics had their Big 3. Boston has always been the bigger brother to Cleveland. Boston has always beaten Cleveland when James did not have Irving (who was not even in the league yet) or Kevin Love (who was in the league in 2008, but was not with Cleveland during the time.) James put the team on his back, but in 2010 he had enough. Boston had beaten Cleveland one last time and that made James switch his jersey and number. James joined Miami. He made the decision and became the enemy Miami's first year together of James, Bosh and Wade. ------- Once Those three teamed up. There was no stopping them. Boston lost against Miami and James had his payback. He was being the Bully of the Celtics. Miami's first year with James they made it to the NBA Finals, but lost to the Dallas. The Celtics had enough and the one of the Celtics Big 3, Ray Allen, wanted to win one more ring and he ended up joining Miami. It left Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, who eventually was traded to Brooklyn. James with Miami went to the NBA Finals four times and won half of those appearances to the NBA Finals. James in the summer of 2014, made his to go back home. He had his glory and rings. He wants to bring a Championship to his home town of Cleveland, Ohio. Boston is just a team in the way that they have to face. People are calling this series a sweep. But Cleveland is in the TD Garden. Celtics Pride, Celtic Kingdom. Yeah, the Celtics might have a young team, but they have the will to win at least one game. Will the Celtics win Game 3? Tune in on TNT, the game is going on right now. It is tied at 38 in the second quarter.

Stephen Curry Not Getting Foul Calls

It is not easy being the best shooter and scorer in the game today. Stephen Curry showed off some battle wounds just from the Game 1 victory over the Pelicans. This is a best out of 7 games, but Warriors lead 2-0 in the series. If they win two more games, they sweep the Pelicans and advance to the next round. Stephen Curry showed some scabs and bruises that run up and down his arms, just from Game 1! Curry had seven free throw attempts in Game 1. One free throw attempt was taken after Quincy Pondexter's technical foul on Draymond Green, and two more foul shots were taken when New Orleans was intentionally fouling late in the game to stop the clock. "I've got a couple scabs, but I've got a lot of real estate left for the rest of the series. Hopefully, I'll get some calls... I'm not going to get into it. I'm just going to play basketball," Curry said after Sunday's practice. ------- The Pelicans had all kinds of trouble defending the pick and roll in Game 1, opening gaps for Curry to dart into the lane. By the time he got close to the rim, he was often getting smacked by a help side defender or recovering defender. Curry is not only a shooter. He is the greatest shooter in the game today, but Curry can score around the basket. To be honest, once Curry passes half court, he can shoot it. He can have really surprising finishes at the rim. He can circus shoot around the rim also. Curry attempted three layups in Game 1 and drew no fouls. On his first finger roll at the 7:10 mark, Curry took Anthony Davis forearm to the back; on a layup that he missed, Curry got squished between Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday; and after Curry beat Alexis Ajinca to the rim, the 7 foot 2 back up center shoved the point guard from behind. ------- Curry always shows good sportsmanship to his officials in any arena. The Ajinca push got Curry going. Curry jumped up and down on the baseline and clapped at the referee Jason Philips, begging for a call. Fifty-five seconds later, while Festus Ezeli was shooting free throws, Curry walked over to official Sean Corbin showed him the marks on his right triceps and blood dripping down his left forearm. "I know he got hit a couple of times on some and ones that they didn't call. He came out of the game, and he was leaking blood out of his arms. It gets more physical. The referees are only human. They're going to make mistakes, just like we do. We just have to keep playing through it," teammate Andrew Bogut said. The Warriors lead the Series 2-0. They are playing in Smoothie King Center in New Orleans now, and the next game is April 23, 9:30 PM on TNT.
