Rondo and the Mavericks

Rajon Rondo. One of the best point guards before the Chris Paul's, Stephen Curry's and Kyrie Irving talks. Rondo is one of the best passers in the Game today. He is a better passer than Chris Paul without a doubt. Chris Paul may have the assist commercials with State Farm, but that is because Paul sees more minutes on the court than Rondo. Why is Rondo not seeing minutes that he should see? Probably because he plays for a owner who is such a loud mouth crybaby, and a coach that just needs to lose his job already. Rondo and Rick Carlisle from the start never liked each other and you were able to see that. Dallas made the wrong decision to keep their head coach instead of one of NBA's best point guards. Yes, I said Rondo is one of the NBA's best point guards. Rondo may not be a scorer, probably what Dallas wanted. He is a pass first type of point guard. He is the last of a dying breed. Most point guards what to shoot the ball more than pass. I'm not saying it is a bad thing, it is just the game of basketball evolved a lot more compared to days like in the 80's. ------- Rondo's time with the Mavericks ended before Mavericks post season ended thanks to the Houston Rockets. After a disastrous 36 second stint to start the second half of Game 2, where Rondo picked up two personal fouls and a technical is an immature display that had many feeling like he quit on his team, he was benched by his head coach, never to return to the Dallas lineup. The team said a back injury was to blame, and that it would sideline Rondo indefinitely. Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle later said he didn't expect Rondo to even wear a Mavericks uniform again, and now we know the reason why. ------- "Rondo never really fit with the Mavs, as the concerns about the impact of his poor shooting in coach Rick Carlisle’s flow offense quickly manifested and were never solved. The hope of a “Playoff Rondo” sighting was crushed after his poor Game 1 performance and the appearance he gave up in Game 2.The Mavs and Rondo made a mutual decision to part ways the next day, sources told ESPNDallas.com, framing the reasoning as a back injury as a favor to try to help the four-time All-Star point guard save face. The truth was that the Mavs didn’t want Rondo, who was going to be replaced in the starting lineup regardless, pouting and rubbing off on other players, Ellis in particular. Essentially, the Mavs made a drastic move in an attempt to do damage control on a chemistry crisis," said Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas. ------- All of these bad remarks and comments about Rondo is sickening. Instead of blaming Rondo, blame the coach. I would. He is no angel. He has not won a Championship since 2011, that is 4 years. Fire him. He has not made it to the Finals in four years, Fire him! He is the reason why Dallas is not winning in my book. Dallas is just a bad place to play, and a bad place to be in I think. Ellis is not going to stay now that they did not advance in the Playoffs. A look at it! Dallas is a stacked team. We are talking about Dirk, Ellis, Amar'e, Chandler, Parsons, Harris, Felton, and Jefferson. That is a stacked team! They had a lot of point guards anyways. Dallas is making a big deal about Rondo for what reason? They are the ones talking crap about him now. That is just childish. The whole city of Dallas and the team just need to grow up and quit acting butt hurt about Rondo. It is like if they wanted to keep him anyways. If they did, they would of chose him over the coach in heart beat. I mean look at it this way, other teams are firing their head coaches. Take the Thunder for example, their coach gave them 7 great seasons. Dallas should of thought about firing their head coach. That is just my opinion. I just do not like the guy and the way Dallas is being butt hurt about Rondo. It is very childish.
