Rondo and the Mavericks

Rajon Rondo. One of the best point guards before the Chris Paul's, Stephen Curry's and Kyrie Irving talks. Rondo is one of the best passers in the Game today. He is a better passer than Chris Paul without a doubt. Chris Paul may have the assist commercials with State Farm, but that is because Paul sees more minutes on the court than Rondo. Why is Rondo not seeing minutes that he should see? Probably because he plays for a owner who is such a loud mouth crybaby, and a coach that just needs to lose his job already. Rondo and Rick Carlisle from the start never liked each other and you were able to see that. Dallas made the wrong decision to keep their head coach instead of one of NBA's best point guards. Yes, I said Rondo is one of the NBA's best point guards. Rondo may not be a scorer, probably what Dallas wanted. He is a pass first type of point guard. He is the last of a dying breed. Most point guards what to shoot the ball more than pass. I'm not saying it is a bad thing, it is just the game of basketball evolved a lot more compared to days like in the 80's. ------- Rondo's time with the Mavericks ended before Mavericks post season ended thanks to the Houston Rockets. After a disastrous 36 second stint to start the second half of Game 2, where Rondo picked up two personal fouls and a technical is an immature display that had many feeling like he quit on his team, he was benched by his head coach, never to return to the Dallas lineup. The team said a back injury was to blame, and that it would sideline Rondo indefinitely. Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle later said he didn't expect Rondo to even wear a Mavericks uniform again, and now we know the reason why. ------- "Rondo never really fit with the Mavs, as the concerns about the impact of his poor shooting in coach Rick Carlisle’s flow offense quickly manifested and were never solved. The hope of a “Playoff Rondo” sighting was crushed after his poor Game 1 performance and the appearance he gave up in Game 2.The Mavs and Rondo made a mutual decision to part ways the next day, sources told ESPNDallas.com, framing the reasoning as a back injury as a favor to try to help the four-time All-Star point guard save face. The truth was that the Mavs didn’t want Rondo, who was going to be replaced in the starting lineup regardless, pouting and rubbing off on other players, Ellis in particular. Essentially, the Mavs made a drastic move in an attempt to do damage control on a chemistry crisis," said Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas. ------- All of these bad remarks and comments about Rondo is sickening. Instead of blaming Rondo, blame the coach. I would. He is no angel. He has not won a Championship since 2011, that is 4 years. Fire him. He has not made it to the Finals in four years, Fire him! He is the reason why Dallas is not winning in my book. Dallas is just a bad place to play, and a bad place to be in I think. Ellis is not going to stay now that they did not advance in the Playoffs. A look at it! Dallas is a stacked team. We are talking about Dirk, Ellis, Amar'e, Chandler, Parsons, Harris, Felton, and Jefferson. That is a stacked team! They had a lot of point guards anyways. Dallas is making a big deal about Rondo for what reason? They are the ones talking crap about him now. That is just childish. The whole city of Dallas and the team just need to grow up and quit acting butt hurt about Rondo. It is like if they wanted to keep him anyways. If they did, they would of chose him over the coach in heart beat. I mean look at it this way, other teams are firing their head coaches. Take the Thunder for example, their coach gave them 7 great seasons. Dallas should of thought about firing their head coach. That is just my opinion. I just do not like the guy and the way Dallas is being butt hurt about Rondo. It is very childish.

Kevin Love Out For Post Season

Well, it is official. Kevin Love is out for the rest of the post season. He is out due to the shoulder injury he suffered from Game 4 against the Boston Celtics. People are already saying Game 4 was Love's last game in a Cavalier jersey. Do not know how true that is, but it is going around on social media. Love has not released a statement about it yet. They are saying Love is going to join the Los Angeles Lakers because Love will return home because he played for UCLA. They also said he will go to Los Angeles because it is a way better place than Cleveland, and Love will get the ball more. Are these typical Laker fans just saying a bunch of nonsense? Sure does kind of seem like it. But, I could be wrong. James and Love's relationship as teammates is edgy. I can see that being a reason why Love will leave Cleveland, but the rest of the rumors is plan up stupid probably coming from Laker fans. Guess we will have to wait and see, or later on see if the rumors are true.

Kevin Love Expected To Miss 2 Weeks

Yesterday, April 26, 2015, The Cleveland Cavaliers swept the Boston Celtics 4-0. It was a pretty dirty gameplay from both teams. Love left last nights game due to a shoulder injury. The play looked dirty by Kelly Olynyk, and Kevin Love thought without a doubt he did it on purpose. The video of Love and Olynyk going for the lose ball, you can tell Olynyk yanked down on Love's arm. Love said he felt fine afterwards, but he is expected to miss 2 weeks. The best thing that can happen is a long term Bulls and Bucks series, which is doubtful. The Bulls lead the series 3-1. This was the same game that J.R Smith punched Jae Crowder. Crowder had a knee injury when Smith like backhanded him. You can see in the video it was an awkward landing, but Crowder sold it off I think. Crowder probably just was embarrassed that Smith practically knocked him out. The series is over, Boston goes fishing and Cleveland advances. It was a well fought, but dirty Game 4 between the two teams. The Cavaliers will face the winner of the Bulls and Bucks series and Kevin Love might be healed in time before the series. Or maybe not. Time will only tell.

Warriors 3-0 From A 20 Point Come Back

"I been Steph Curry with the shot, been cookin' with the sauce, chef, curry with the pot, boy!" - Drake That is what every Warrior fan is singing after Curry hit the game tying three to send the Warriors and Pelicans in overtime in Game 3. Stephen Curry is the definition of clutch! Drake knows what type of player he is talking about. He might not have meant the current Curry, but he still mentioned Curry in a song. From being down by 20 in the start of the fourth quarter to winning by 4 points. The final score was 123-119. Stephen "Chef" Curry had 40 points and 9 assists! Can you say MVP?! Curry missed the first game tying three, but Green grabbed the rebound and brought it out to Curry for the three. Curry hit the three over three Pelican defenders. Kind of ironic right? That game tying three should have been an and-1 though. Curry was clearly knocked from underneath, and last I checked that is a foul in the NBA. ---- Game four will be in New Orleans in the Smoothie King Arena on Saturday, April 25. If The Warriors take this game it will be a sweep (Just letting people who don't really understand.) If you don't know what a sweep is, it is when a team wins four games in a row, and the opposing team does not win one game at all, the team 4-0 advances to the next round. It is best out of 7 games though. No team has came back from 0-3 the NBA says, but I guess they do not remember the 2006 Miami Heat team. They were down 0-3 in the Final series against Dallas, and Wade just took command. That was the year people said Wade was in his prime. In the Playoffs anything can happen, but people do not expect the unexpected most of the time. Can the Pelicans make a come back or at least win one game? Who knows? Curry showed the world what he can do, and he is not afraid to take the most pressured shots at anytime. Playoffs are a big stage, and he's putting on a show for everyone.

Game 3 Celtics Versus Cavaliers

Today April 23, 2015, is the continuation of the series between the Cavaliers and Celtics. During the Cavaliers practice James talked about the Celtic fans not liking him. Who would not blame them? I'm not putting that in a negative way. It is just that James has always had some great rival games when the Celtics had their Big 3. Boston has always been the bigger brother to Cleveland. Boston has always beaten Cleveland when James did not have Irving (who was not even in the league yet) or Kevin Love (who was in the league in 2008, but was not with Cleveland during the time.) James put the team on his back, but in 2010 he had enough. Boston had beaten Cleveland one last time and that made James switch his jersey and number. James joined Miami. He made the decision and became the enemy Miami's first year together of James, Bosh and Wade. ------- Once Those three teamed up. There was no stopping them. Boston lost against Miami and James had his payback. He was being the Bully of the Celtics. Miami's first year with James they made it to the NBA Finals, but lost to the Dallas. The Celtics had enough and the one of the Celtics Big 3, Ray Allen, wanted to win one more ring and he ended up joining Miami. It left Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, who eventually was traded to Brooklyn. James with Miami went to the NBA Finals four times and won half of those appearances to the NBA Finals. James in the summer of 2014, made his to go back home. He had his glory and rings. He wants to bring a Championship to his home town of Cleveland, Ohio. Boston is just a team in the way that they have to face. People are calling this series a sweep. But Cleveland is in the TD Garden. Celtics Pride, Celtic Kingdom. Yeah, the Celtics might have a young team, but they have the will to win at least one game. Will the Celtics win Game 3? Tune in on TNT, the game is going on right now. It is tied at 38 in the second quarter.

Stephen Curry Not Getting Foul Calls

It is not easy being the best shooter and scorer in the game today. Stephen Curry showed off some battle wounds just from the Game 1 victory over the Pelicans. This is a best out of 7 games, but Warriors lead 2-0 in the series. If they win two more games, they sweep the Pelicans and advance to the next round. Stephen Curry showed some scabs and bruises that run up and down his arms, just from Game 1! Curry had seven free throw attempts in Game 1. One free throw attempt was taken after Quincy Pondexter's technical foul on Draymond Green, and two more foul shots were taken when New Orleans was intentionally fouling late in the game to stop the clock. "I've got a couple scabs, but I've got a lot of real estate left for the rest of the series. Hopefully, I'll get some calls... I'm not going to get into it. I'm just going to play basketball," Curry said after Sunday's practice. ------- The Pelicans had all kinds of trouble defending the pick and roll in Game 1, opening gaps for Curry to dart into the lane. By the time he got close to the rim, he was often getting smacked by a help side defender or recovering defender. Curry is not only a shooter. He is the greatest shooter in the game today, but Curry can score around the basket. To be honest, once Curry passes half court, he can shoot it. He can have really surprising finishes at the rim. He can circus shoot around the rim also. Curry attempted three layups in Game 1 and drew no fouls. On his first finger roll at the 7:10 mark, Curry took Anthony Davis forearm to the back; on a layup that he missed, Curry got squished between Ryan Anderson and Jrue Holiday; and after Curry beat Alexis Ajinca to the rim, the 7 foot 2 back up center shoved the point guard from behind. ------- Curry always shows good sportsmanship to his officials in any arena. The Ajinca push got Curry going. Curry jumped up and down on the baseline and clapped at the referee Jason Philips, begging for a call. Fifty-five seconds later, while Festus Ezeli was shooting free throws, Curry walked over to official Sean Corbin showed him the marks on his right triceps and blood dripping down his left forearm. "I know he got hit a couple of times on some and ones that they didn't call. He came out of the game, and he was leaking blood out of his arms. It gets more physical. The referees are only human. They're going to make mistakes, just like we do. We just have to keep playing through it," teammate Andrew Bogut said. The Warriors lead the Series 2-0. They are playing in Smoothie King Center in New Orleans now, and the next game is April 23, 9:30 PM on TNT.

Lou William Sixth Man of the Year

So every year after the season, there is this award like Most Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Most Valuable Player, Coach of the Year, and the Sixth Man of the Year. The only awards that been announced is the Coach of the Year and 6th Man of the Year. The Coach of the Year is Hawks Head Coach Mike Budenholzer after a tremendous season his Hawks team had. Record of 60-22, which made them the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. They also held the first two games at home in the playoffs. But, we are not talking about the Hawks. The talk of the NBA right now is Lou Williams. Lou was announced as KIA's Sixth Man of the Year. Which means, he comes off the bench, he is not a starter. He comes off the bench and puts up some great numbers for his team. Lou Williams plays for the Toronto Raptors who is currently playing the Washington Wizards. Lou came off the bench and put up some great numbers. Lou averaged a career high 15.5 points this season. This is Lou's 10th season and first with the Raptors. It was quite the surprise knowing that Lou received the Sixth Man of the Year award. Former Sixth Man, Jamal Crawford, is know for being the Sixth Man of every year. Jamal was in the race, but Lou received the most votes of 78 first- place votes and 502 total points from the panel. ------- Players are awarded five points for each first- place votes, three points for each second-place votes and one point for each third-place votes. To be eligible for the award, players have to come off the bench in more games than they started. Lou came of the bench in all 80 of his appearances and averaged 25.2 minutes. He led or tied for the team in scoring 18 times, second most in the league for a reverse, and the Raptors went 14-4 in those games. The 28 year old also lead the Raptors in free throw percentage 86.1 and made a career high 152 three pointers. On March 4, Lou set a Toronto record for points in a quarter with 21 in the fourth quarter period against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Game 1 Cavaliers Versus Celtics

If you did not watch game 1 between the Cavaliers and Celtics then you missed out on a great game. Buzzer beaters and great time rivals. This Celtics team does not have the Big 3 that they had beating Cleveland in 2010. That Big 3 included Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, and Kevin Garnett. This time it is Clevelands' Big 3 upsetting Boston. There was one player out of Cavaliers Big 3 that stood out. The player with no playoff experience. That is Kyrie "Uncle Drew" Irving. Irving dropped 30 points in his first playoff game and James witnessed something special. ------- "Just to be out there and see how he approached that game, his ability to shoot the ball, his ability to make plays," James said. Irving's Game 1 against the Celtics was the second highest scoring game in a playoff debut, second only to James' 32 in his triple double game against Washington in April 2006. James was the facilitator this game. There was a lot of talk about his passing ability instead of scoring ability. James has sacrificed a lot of his scoring just to set up his teammates like Irving, Love, Smith and Mozgov. Cavaliers Head Coach Blatt talked about it with media. ------- "Obviously LeBron as the facilitator is one of the best ever, Boston is going to do what they feel they need to do in order to make us a less efficient offensive team." Today, April 21, 2015, it is game 2 of the series of the Cavaliers and Celtics in the Quicken Loans Arena. You can watch it on TNT. Who will get the win and who will be the facilitator and scoring leader? It could be James the facilitator again and Kyrie the scorer again. Or it can go James the facilitator and Love the scorer, or Kyrie the facilitator and James the scorer. Either way it is a rough night for Boston. Also, the bench can step up their game for the Cavaliers. It is just a harsh series for the young Celtics team.

LeBron Sarcastically Picks Kevin Love as MVP

There has been a lot of rumors and talks about Kevin Love and LeBron James. Rumors that Love wants to opt out his contract already. Also, the chemistry between the two. People noticed LeBron never really posted Instagram pictures with Love, but with other players. There is reports out that Love and James are not best friends. You do not have to be best friends to win a championship together. If LeBron James reall wants the "aloof" Kevin Love to be in Cleveland Cavaliers uniform next year, he sure has a weird way of showing it. The four- time NBA Most Valuable Player was asked the typical, "Who's your pick for MVP?" Questions before the Cavaliers final game of the regular season on Wednesday. "Who would your vote be for MVP?" a reporter asked. "Who would be my vote?" James said, pausing to think. "Umm, Kevin Love." The reporters erupted into laughter. James turned to his locker. Does LeBron want Love to stay in his home town uniform? Or does he have a sense of humor that Love would take offensively? Or will he take it offensively at all?

NBA Players Reaction To Devastating Thabo Sefolosha Injury by NYPD

The playoffs are coming up Saturday night. The Atlanta Hawks are the number 1 team to beat in the East Conference as they are the number one seed. The Hawks will be without player Thabo Sefolosha who will be recovering from a devastating broken leg injury he claims came from the result of overly aggressive New York police officers. The details led to Sefolosha's season ending injury will not be settled until the situation reaches the court of law. Sefolosha was at a nightclub in the Chelsea area of New York. A healthy and contributing member of the Number 1 seed Atlanta Hawks damaged goods after a video showed five New York police officers wrestling him to the ground and another beating down his lower body with a baton. ------- LeBron James from the Cleveland Cavaliers had to say this, "It's an unfortunate event for sure." The NBA, and NYPD internal affairs office are looking into the incident which came after Indiana Pacer forward Chris Copeland was stabbed outside a nightclub the Chelsea area of New York. "Really disappointed with what happen to Thabo. Obviously, police, they have a dangerous job to do. Sefolosha is a big guy compared to normal people and probably some of those police officers. So if he did anything to warrant that, that's one thing. But the stories that we get, he didn't do anything to warrant that. I understand that they have a scary job to do and they want to use force to make sure they get home at night. It's understandable, but somebody in that group had to know that was Thabo Sefolosha. Somebody knew in that crew knew that was an NBA player. I feel like it's another way it could've been handled." Says Washington Wizards forward Rasual Butler. Butler would like to see more NBA players speak out on behalf of Sefolosha, who faces six months of rehabilitation while his team attempts to win an NBA Championship with out him. Sefolosha's injury came only moments after Copeland and a female friend were slashed in a early April 8th morning. In addition to knife wounds to his left elbow and abdomen, Copeland also sustained a broken elbow and a fractured rib in the fracas. ------- James, his first season as vice president of the players' union, said he takes security with him when he socializes but does everything in his power to avoid trouble. "I don't bother nobody. I have a good time, just like everyone else. I stay to myself, I'm not the last to one to leave. I always leave before everybody else and I'm very responsible. I understand the target that we have on our backs as athletes and as professional athletes and the jealousy that comes from that sometimes when you're out. So you got to be as responsible as possible and that's what teams have security for, too. You have security, those guys should be with us when we're out in public and buffer those things away from us."

LeBron's MVP

If LeBron had the choice to vote for MVP, you know who he would pick? It is not the talk of the whole race Stephen Curry or James Harden. Even though Curry said he would of vote for LeBron if he could not vote for himself. But, it looks like Curry and LeBron are not that different after all. LeBron said he would vote for himself as season MVP. LeBron is playing the fewest minutes out of his career, 36 minutes per game. LeBron's player efficiency rating is currently 26.0, which is his lowest mark since 2007. According to the comparison though, James Harden has a 27.0 player efficiency rating, and bad man Stephen Curry has a 27.6 player efficiency. LeBron's first season back with the Cavaliers should be his reason why he should win MVP right? He took two superstars who never been to the playoffs into the playoffs as a second seed! So, should he be the season MVP? To be honest, I do not think he should win MVP. The MVP is Stephen Curry or Russell Westbrook. Why do one of these two deserve it? Well, first, LeBron has veterans like James Jones, Mike Miller, Shawn Marion, Timofey Mozgov, J.R. Smith, and Iman Shumpert. Does LeBron deserve MVP for taking a team with 6 veterans to the Playoffs? These six have playoff experience. Really, only Kyrie, Love and Thompson have not been to the playoffs. Stephen Curry deserves it in my opinion. He is putting up big numbers, not only in points, but also assists. The only thing that makes him weak in this MVP race is his defensive skills. You look at all the Stephen Curry highlights, it is just MVP type of playing that you see. He deserves it. Golden State cannot win without him. There was this one game where Stephen Curry sat out with an ankle injury, and Klay Thompson was still playing. The other Splash Brother, could not get the win without Stephen Curry. So, Klay is not a big reason why Stephen Curry has been looking good and racking up assists. Straight up Golden State is nothing without Curry. As for Westbrook, he is a triple double machine. To be honest he should be the number one talk or spot of the race. He has recorded 11 triple double this season. 11! The only reason why he is not number one is because he cannot win games putting up those triple doubles. Westbrook needs Durant to help him win games. Durant out for the season, Thunder losing games. They are out of the playoff picture too, so that automatically counts Westbrook out of the race? I do not know. The media are the voters. It is the peoples choice. Just pick the person who you think deserves it.

LeBron Congratulates Duke For Winning National Championship

It was a heart breaking, intense, TV breaking, constant cussing, and great NCAA tournament this year. Kentucky was suppose to be the Cinderella to go undefeated the whole year. Win 40 straight games with no losses. But, unfortunately Kentucky loss when they won 38 games with no losses. Their first loss was in the Final Four against the Wisconsin Badgers. That would send Wisconsin to the Championship game against The Duke Blue Devils. It was a well fought game, both teams kept it close for awhile. The team that had more fight inside the dog is who won though. That is the Duke Blue Devils who were coached by Mike Krzyzewski better known as "Coach K" who coaches Team USA. We all know LeBron has never went to college, straight out of High school. LeBron has never had the chance to compete for a national championship, but he is there and celebrating with his former Coach, Coach K. LeBron has never got Coach K basketball education at Duke, but he had with Team USA in the Olypics. ------- After the Duke Blue Devils beat the Wisconsin Badgers in the Nation Championship game. LeBron captioned a little message on a picture posted on twitter for Coach K: "I've been to the highest mountain top with u 2x so last night wasn't a surprise cause I know how GREAT you are at what u do!! My FAVORITE! Congrats K! In 2016 there will be the hosting of the 2016 Rio Olympics and maybe LeBron has one more good run in him. Coach K will most likely be in the coaching staff for Team USA. As we all know, LeBron is not beating father time and this could be his last run with Coach K. But, in the meantime, LeBron is hoping to follow in the footsteps of Coach K and win a championship this year. We will see what happen when the playoffs start this month on April 19th.

Paul George Return and LeBron Shows Some Love

As the Cleveland Cavaliers got their 50th win of the season clinching the second seed in the Eastern Conference, players were in the locker room chatting with reporters. While the Cavaliers were chatting with reporters, Indiana Pacers' Small Forward Paul George was lacing up some Kobe 10's for his first game of the season. As we know Paul George suffered a gruesome leg breaking injury during an Team USA scrimmage of the summer of 2014. The injury cause George to miss the playing with Team USA who won gold last summer, and caused him to miss the 76 games of the season. George had a standing ovation as he checked into the game for the first time this season. During his return George played 15 minute and scored 13 points. It is also his first time debuting his new jersey number 13. It will be a pretty sick nickname jersey to have "PG 13." I think it was ironic that PG 13 scored 13 points in his debut. ------- LeBron gave George a shout out on twitter saying, " Absolutely great day for my Nike Brother and homie @yg_trece! Congrats man on the journey all the way..." LeBron and George had some great and historic battles in the Playoffs when LeBron was with the Heat. There is clear respect for both players though, will always be deep and mad respect between both player no matter which team they play for. I was definitely great to see the Pacer star to return from an injury that touched a lot of players who watched George go down with the injury. If you watched the scrimmage, I bet you can remember how devastated the players on Team USA were. They had to stop the rest of the game because players were so shocked. This injury was more than likely the reason Kevin Durant resigned playing with Team USA last summer. Now hopefully the Indiana Pacers can reach and fight for that 8th spot in the Eastern Conference.
