LeBron James and Dion Waiters weight loss
LeBron James had lost some weight from cutting sugar, carbs, and diary products from his diet. He ate like that for 67 days straight and lost a tone of weight. LeBron told SI, "I had no sugar, no dairy, I had no carbs. All i ate was meat, fish, veggies and fruits. That's it. For 67 straight days. " He also told Oregonian that he had, "lost a lot of weight and he is trying to put back a few pounds." Cutting out carbs, dairy and sugars. LeBron has a pretty intense work out for example his jumping ability exercises. One exercise that he does will improve quickness and explosiveness under the boards.
In this exercise you stand under a basket or next to a wall and grab a medicine ball. You hold the medicine ball over your head bend your knees and quickly bring the medicine ball down to your waist . Then explode straight up as you lift the ball above your head trying to touch the ball to a target such as the rim, backboard, bottom of the net, or a point on the wall according to Celebrity Fitness. After you land, pause for a second or two and jump again. Perform three to five sets of three to six jumps, resting 2 to 3 minutes between sets also recording to Celebrity Fitness. So, not only cutting his diet down, but doing intense work outs during the off season was a big impact of LeBrons tremendous weight loss.
According to Sports Illustrated LeBron is named the worlds fittest athlete. LeBron was given a 40 out of 40 by the judges according to Sports Illustrated. LeBron is not the only player on the Cleveland Cavaliers that dropped weight. LeBrons new teammate Dion Waiters dropped some weight when LeBron called him and told him about his return and told him to be prepared. Dion told Tom Withers, "Baby fat, I'm just thick." Thats what he told media about some of his weight loss. "Waiters knew he was out of shape" according to Cavs General Manager Chris Grant. Also they said, "When we talked to him about it, he agreed that he needed to get to work. He didnt make any excuses, he didn't run from it."
