Bye, Bye Chalk Toss

Well, it did not last long people. LeBron has ditched the chalk toss pre game ritual. According to Business Insider,"The loss of the chalk toss may have just been a message to his teammates that he is just one of them, some of the other changes may be impacting the final scores." LeBron also ditch his rigorous pre game and body maintenance routine and instead is participating in the pre game shoot around with his teammates. The pre game shooting may be helping LeBron to be more aggressive earlier in game, noting that he is now averaging 11.3 points in the first quarter and the Cavaliers were leading by an average of 10.3 points at the end of the first quarter during the Cavaliers 3 game win streak according to Vardon. LeBron is taking less shots, but he is scoring more due to attacking the basket aggressively and shooting more free throws. These moves to the basket are not only benefiting LeBron, but is benefiting the LeBron's teammates opening up outside shots. LeBron's assists went up from 6.8 per game to 8.7. Making simple moves like putting the ball in LeBrons hands, and knowing how effective LeBron can be cutting to the basket, that could leave Kevin Love, Kyrie, or Waiters open for an easy three. LeBrons has improved offensively, but also defensively. LeBrons steals per game has doubled. Most important is that LeBron has stopped imploring his teammates to do the things teams need to do to win and now is just leading by example.
