Tristan Thompson on his role as a Cavalier

Tristan Thompson number 13, power forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers who is only 23 years old is a young player with quite some talent. Tristan Thompson is 6 foot 8 and 225 pounds is averaging 24.8 minutes per game and averaging 10.6 points per game,Along with 8.4 rebounds per game. Thompson played in 16 games for the Cavaliers and started for one game. So, he mainly comes off the bench and is a big factor off the bench along with Dion Waiters. We heard what Dion had to say about his role for the Cavaliers, but this is what Thompson had to say about his role, "Basketball is basketball, it doesn't matter if you're starting or coming off the bench. You have to be ready to play. Once the ball is tipped you have to be locked in and be ready to play. Come in with the energy and the defensive mindset." Thompson is a player who cares about winning, but not about his own personal stats it seems like. This is a type of player LeBron wants on his team. Thompson does not care that he comes off the bench or he starts, it all comes down to winning and winning championships. That is what most teams mindset is, but they have players who just want to put up numbers on their stats and do not care about winning games. We've all seen that is how Kyrie started off, but he has grown to playing with a new Cavaliers team with LeBron and Love. It is great hearing this from a young player because most young players want to just play for stats. Respect to Thompson and hope he can stay healthy this season so he can come off the bench or start when ever he gets the chance to for Cleveland. This is a player kids should look up to. So what if he is not hitting threes like Stephen Curry or scoring a lot of points like Carmelo Anthony or Kobe Bryant. This a team playing guy.
